DIVINE MERCY HOSPITALITY AND REHABILITATION CENTRE

I present to you Divine Mercy Hospitality & Rehabilitation Centre (DMHRC) an organization in South Western Uganda that I started in 2019 with support from my friends in Uganda and Italy. It was both by a spiritual revelation but also revelation owing to my experience, with the help of my family, in support of the suffering Orphans and Vulnerable children in my area: it is sad to observe the large number of Street Children in Kabale Town as a result of child neglect, orphan hood, domestic violence, unemployment, poverty, family disintegration and lack of education.

This Centre also stems from my earlier role as a Principal of a small Church-founded technical institute ('Rubanda Technical Institute') whose students were from poor families struggling to make ends meet. I have been exposed to the realities of suffering children, many of whom suffered innocently, a challenge that I felt that together with friends we can strongly address through DMHRC.
With a vision of "A transformed, holistic person" (Jn 10:10) and a mission of "Developing strategies that mould vulnerable human categories through community support systems", DMHRC has a fourfold objective, namely:
1. Providing rehabilitation services to those in need,
2. Providing a holistic approach to life through biopsychosocial-spiritual support systems,
3. Providing vocational and entrepreneurial skills to youth and children, and
4. Strengthening family relations and enhancing community roles.
